admin If the door lock on your Whirlpool Duet Sport washing machine get stuck so that you can not open the door, there is a trick to get it open. Follow these easy instructions to manually unlock the door lock mechanism:
- Unplug the washing machine
- Remove the 3 screws at the bottom of the lower front panel and remove the panel
- Reaching into the front panel from the bottom find the door switch lock mechanism
- On the bottom of the lock mechanism is a tear-drop shaped tab, carefully pull the tab down until you hear a click (about 1/4″)
The door should then be able to be opened. Reattach the lower door panel with the 3 screws when finished.
